The medieval castle-like Anderson Playgroun includes ladders, turrets, and slides surrounded by a landscaped moat of uneven timber rounds, evergreens, and perennials. Brontosaurus paw prints cast from the fossil collection of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History help lead children from one play area to the next.  Venture Outdoors offers Tyke Hikes for kids 5 and younger on Tuesdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m.  Hikes depart from the Schenley Park Visitor Center.  Tyke hikes are a great way to introduce young children to the natural world and engage them in recreational activity.
