Substitutions

  I was cleaning out my recipe file (that is, the thing hanging on the side of the fridge that has 327 menus and 445 recipes smashed into it) and noticed that a lot had "may substitute xx for xxx".  I am having a rough mommy night so I thought of some of my own substitutions tonight:

-May substitute one parent for two (in the case that one is traveling)

THEREFORE:

-Running through the sprinkler may substitute for proper bath
-A cup of McDonalds ketchup may substitue for vegetables
-Mindless children's television may substitute for proper book reading before bed
-People Magazine can be substituted for work I'm supposed to be doing
-Opening bottle of wine and pouring glass after glass may be substituted for exercise

-Having a crappy mom night may substitute for a good mom night.
